Hi there, My name is Buster Hede, I’m 36 years old and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I just finished some studies so I’m about to go back to work again which I’m looking really forward to.
Denmark is a really nice place and if you’re ever considering to visit Copenhagen then reach out and I would love to help you with some tips and tricks.
My passion for sneakers started in parallel with my passion for skateboarding. I was around 12 years old when I really began to buy sneakers for myself. I loved tech skating (still do) and for that reason I was always pretty picky with the sneakers I wore for skating.
I hated the chunky sneakers as they were too hard to skate in and the look didn’t appeal to me either. If you jump to my collection today, you’ll see that I still love these slimmer pairs, especially runners.
One of my favorite pairs from back then was the Chad Muska promodel from Circa “CM703”. I had nearly every colour way of those.
I honestly can’t remember but I do remember the first pair I bought when my newer/todays collection really got started. It was a pair of Womens Air Max 90’s in white and purple. Since that pair I’ve bought so much “crap” over the years.
I think you have to buy a lot of stuff on the way, try it out and then find out what you really digg and what fits your style. I did that and now I’m fully aware of what I’m looking for and why.
I also have to mention that the Air Force 1 was the model that made me go from collecting only skate shoes to collecting sneakers in general.
My favorite brands have to be “Nike” and “New Balance”. Nike speaks for itself. It’s the leading sneaker brand in the market and is always one step ahead. New Balance is delivering the quality though.
The “Made In” quality from New Balance is simply just second to none. I also digg other brands classic pairs like the “Puma Suede”, “Converse Chuck Taylor” and “Adidas Superstar”.
I would really love to say that I got around 90-100 pairs, as this is what I have the space for, but to be honest I have around 180 right now. Way too many if you ask me. Everything is relative, I know.
I had way more pairs some years ago but I’ve sold a lot of ‘em on the way. I need to cut even further down even if it’s really hard to get rid of ‘em.
Here’s a few:
I could put so many pairs on this list.
The entire 5 years Anniversary pack from Patta. I have a couple from the pack already but I’m still missing out on 3 pairs.
I’m also looking for some New Balance 998’s like: “Grand Tourer”, “C-Note”, and “Hilltop Blues”. And also the Air Max 1 ”Giraffe” from the Animal pack 3.0 from Atmos.
I’m actually buying the biggest part of my pairs from others sellers/collectors on IG and Facebook, Ebay, StockX etc. I don’t use webshops that much anymore, nearly only for raffles and releases. I’m too picky and I know that the pairs I want are always selling out immediately on the release date.
I do like to check out our local stores like: Size?, Street Machine, Foot Locker, Rezet, Side Walk, JD and Wood Wood.
I’m not the type that can or will forever rule anything out, but I don’t feel them newer Adidas and Yeezy pairs – they just don’t appeal to me. Also brands like Skechers is a no go. But I do like diversity and every person should wear what they like though.
I have an Instagram account in my name: @busterhede which is filled with Sneaker photos.
Besides that you can meet me at Sneaker events here in Denmark and also at Sneakerness again when COVID-19 allows us.
